Drymount Press.
What does that mean to me?
That means that we can offer flattening and crease removal,
Drymounting, Laminating, and Canvas Bonding.
Our Press works like a huge iron and uses special glues in a tissue
format this allows us to Drymount any paper image up to
54" x 72" approx, ideal to stop posters from "Wrinkling",
Laminating uses a "plastic" film available in a choice of
finishes,
gloss, satin matt or matt to cover a "Drymounted" Image.
This provides a wipe clean surface for use in humid situations
or where it is preferable not to use glass.
i.e. In a bathroom or kitchen environment.
Canvas Bonding is a process where a photographic image can be
transferred onto canvas, thereby giving the appearance of being
"Painted". Special techniques can then be applied to simulate
brush strokes on the surface of the image to further enhance the effect.
The finished artwork is then stretched and framed as if it were a
canvas.
